Why would you want to GET RID OF an option? Seriously. The way sliders work in Avid (90% of the time) is that you have to know how much you want to move them by because you aren't listening to the mix when you move them, therefor you KNOW the numeric amount. I know many editors for whom the slider is just a waste of space. I'm among them usually. It's a nice visual reference, but if you're on a laptop and space is at a premium, why show the sliders? Have you tried the Clip volume thingee in the timeline? There's a little slider that appears, but the easiest and fastest way to adjust is click, type a number and enter.
Greeting to all,I add to this the mixer window in the new versions starting with 6.0 no more option to hide the sliders... WeirdWalid
Walid from his iPhoneYour points are valid - I get it, but it's actually something I hardly ever look at. I just immediately go to the 'open folder' button, and I'm off. Find my project folder, click OK, and I'm in. No hassles with the projects list.
And the open folder dialog is resizable to your heart's content…On Tue, Mar 25, 2014 at 9:10 PM, <bigfish@pacbell.net> wrote:
Yes too much time on your hands but not bad suggestions. I'd much rather they bring back my split to reference than the project window but I'm not holding my breath on that.
