"Range specified for DUP is outside range of component."
This lovely error message occurred every time I attempt to duplicate/copy the Avid sequence.
This error message was telling me that there was some corruption in the sequence. When the Avid user finds corruption in the sequence that exact clip(s) should be overwritten (with the Overwrite button) to first delete that corruption.
For me I isolated the corruption to two motion effects that were at different locations in the Avid sequence. I found the corruption(s) and used the Overwrite command on the corrupt motion effects.
Now I can duplicate/copy the sequence without any error messages.
The system info I am seeing this on - Macintosh Avid Media Composer version 5.5.3.7 - Macintosh OS X version 10.6.8
I love Avid!!!
