That there's a risk that one has to take with any software product in order to TRY it. So if you have something that works and you think "Gee, I wonder if Premiere or FCP-X or any other software might be able to better serve me in getting done what I need to do?" You have to weigh that risk of failure to perform against the fairly substantial cost of learning a new system and in TRUSTING it on a job. Luckily I was doing something "low value" on Premiere. Obviously that's the kind of project that most people would try out a new system like FCP-X or Premiere. Sometimes you don't know something is going to fail you until the end. FCP-X and Premiere are similar in this, that the ingest and start up are easier and the end of the process takes longer. Avid is heavier on the front end and protects you and speeds you through the end of the process. That's why I think it's better for tight deadline stuff.
