It really depends on the type of files they're shooting. I'm in a similar situation right now, film shot with Alexa @24fps, anamorphic lenses, 2K, Prores 444. The workflow we're following involves DaVinci Resolve as the frame size is above 1920x1080. The DIT creates the Avid MediaFiles, and the assistant editor loads them in MC7, using the ALE from the Camera to carry all the info across.
