Type "HDTitleFilter"
in the console. This will toggle the last state. Sharpened up my titles considerably. You will have to regenerate any existing titles.

I'm guessing if you run through a legalizer you'll be fine. We usually make white text at 90% anyway.

The titles are smoothed by default so you don't get overshoots when converting to SD. Removing that gives you the original sharpness, but you can get bounced by QC.
"HDTitleFilter" id the command.

Hey Seth, nice to hear from the guy who got me going on DS! It seems to sharpen the titles in HD as well.

Hi Ken,
Hope all's well with you.
Title filtering limits overshoots and undershoots on titles when you're downconverting to SD.
Warmly on a warm day,
