I just want to confirm if I have the following correct, it's been a while since I dealt with this format. The way the HDX-900 and DVCPro HD work in general is they record 60 frames to tape. Depending on whether you set it to 23.98 or 59.97/59.94 effects how often it captures a frame. If you shoot at 23.98 and then playback the tape in the 1200 or 1400 Panny deck you can set the deck to 23.98 for true 23.98 playback with 24 frame time code and can be captured into a 23.98 project. If you set the deck to 59.97/59.94 mode it will add the pulldown 2:3 cadence and convert the time code to 30 frame code which can be captured into a 1080i/59.94 Avid project. I will check with the collective to determine how the camera deals with "A" frame relative to time code. I assume it follows the typical standard of "A" frames on "00" and "05" time codes but I would like to hear from people who use this workflow more often. TIA
