I finally ordered a new laptop that will allow me to upgrade from v5.5. My old laptop was too out of date to run Win7. The problem I have is that the new one isn't scheduled for delivery until July 3rd.
I have a copy of Symphony 6.0 that I purchased last year in the crossgrade promotion, but obviously never installed. So now, I'd like to take advantage of the 6.5 upgrade promo that ends next week (June 27th, I think) so I can get v7.0 at no added cost when it's released.
Is there a way to register my software without having installed it? The online activation requires a device I.D.
I might try loading the software onto my wife's HP, which runs Windows 8 Home Edition. I wouldn't try editing, but if the software will install, at lest that will give me a device I.D. so I can register.
Anyone have any thoughts or advice?
