Hi,
This problem has suddenly appeared on my 2008 vintage iMac, running 10.6.8, Safari 5.1.7, Firefox 15.0.1. Video seems to play fine, but there is no audio playback at all. System audio itself seems fine. System sounds and iTunes have no problem, and I can stream Netflix with normal sound playback. I haven't tried any other internet video, such as Vimeo, so no idea if the problem extends to that.
I've tried reinstalling Flash to no avail. Ideas?
