The pulldown will get removed, as long as you select that under the "film and 24P" settings.
Make sure you are feeding your HD deck both bilevel and trilevel sync that are locked together, otherwise Sony doesn't guarantee proper cadence on the downconvert.
They really should just do DNxHD 36. It would take a little less space than 3:1. Look a lot better. And allow the project to stay HD.
