[Avid-L2] AMA sync issues

 

Has anyone else run into the issue of sync drift when importing QT files via AMA into a PC Symphony ( 6.0.3)

We're getting a lot of shows ( 22-50 minutes) most of them encoded at Pro-REs 422 HQ,
and some AMA imports play out of sync, anywhere from a few frame to a few seconds.

When we do a straight import (creating true Avid Media) the files import correctly.

There are so many variables in the AMA process, I"m curious if it's happening to others

On the same topic, when you're requesting HD QT files for use in Avid, what exact specs are you asking for?

Is there a preferred format/codec that works with Avid and FCP?
