Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Baselight for Avid Release

We worked extremely close for months with the Filmlight folks on this integration, same goes for Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 9. You'll find that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make these partnerships work. MC 6.5 also has a small but powerful improvement that allows you to relink to any bin. This was an important change to help with better interop.

With what money to buy and further development/integrate it?

Apple, with more money than the US Government, could barely get FCP and
Color mesh fluidly. Not sure how Avid buying a third party product then
further develop it half way through with little or no cash on hand. It
is a sexy product that can move boxes, but I just don't think the money
and development time are there.
