As far as I can tell, Symph's relational CC works based on clipname or tapename. There couldn't be much that forbids them to implement such a relation based on any of the available metadata. Scene could be nice. Source File would be crucial. Preferably any heading you create.
It seems just a matter of someone thinking of the best way to implement that, and then the resources to make it happen.
