I missed this David, and I'm assuming others answered you, but just in case, it sounds like the corner pin function of the 3D warp effect is what you need. Alternatively, you can composite one shape over another by drawing a shape with the Animatte key, but this effect doesn't scale or distort. I would go with the corner pin tool.

Subject: [Avid-L2] Skewing the Crop?
So is there a way to skew the crop -- or the frame itself -- on a PIP?
In other words, if I'm trying to do a temp comp and I want to put a picture in
picture on top of a drive-in movie screen, but because of the oblique camera
angle, the drive-in movie screen is all skewed, how do I skew the PIP to fit the
shot of the drive-in movie screen?
Is that sufficiently confusing?
I'm on MC 6.0.1.1.
Thanks,
David
