You are making a huge assumption. I don't see that at all. In fact I don't see much migration to either Avid or Adobe. A lot of testing the waters and some sales by people who took advantage of the cross-grades, but then haven't actually used those purchases. Most of the users are still sitting on their hands.
FCP X is an extremely capable product that is getting significantly better with every update. There are producers and broadcasters talking about 1080p/60 and bigger-than-HD transitions today. You can't do that with MC or Symphony, but you can with Edius, FCP X, Premiere Pro, Quantel, etc. Check back in a year and see what you think then.
