[Avid-L2] Re: Can't Modify Source on AMA clips prior to transcode

 

Yes, interestingly, despite many people's advice, I've noticed that when you remount an AMA volume, the AMA clips do not retain the tape name I gave them through "Modify Source." That, in addition to the fact that I've relinked (admittedly) simple sequences without setting a tape name makes me think (hope) the step is unnecessary.

On the other hand, Dom, I did notice that "Source File" and "Source Path" do sometimes mysteriously disappear from the AMA clips' metadata as well — just as you pointed out.
