[Avid-L2] AMA Workflow with Transcoded Media Offline...

Hi Guys, I'm having some difficulty with my AMA Workflow and I tried to
find a solution on Avid website but I don't found a good answer for my
doubt.

Here it is:
I'm working with QuickTime H.264 footage from Canons DSLRs, so I link the
footage with AMA and transcode the files to DNxHD codec. It's much faster
than the traditional import (3x faster!). I don't edit with original
footage because the H.264 codec it's terrible to edit with it!

Ok, after I make the edit and send to my client, I keep the project in a
Backup folder and delete the MXF files from my hard drive, keeping only the
original H.264 files from camera.

Sometime later the client request a new edit from that project
so normally I would reopen the project with all medias offline and then
Batch Import them right!? And here it's my problem. In the Batch Import
window I locate the original files but Avid only find one clip at a time,
and I have like 100 files to locate! (sometimes more)

When I import the clips in the traditional workflow, in the Batch Import
window I just need to locate the first clip and Avid recognizes all clips
in the folder automatically, matching their names but with transcoded clips
it don't recognizes the clips automatically!

The difference of the clips is that transcoded files are renamed with *
.new.01* and do not show the file extension *.mov* in this case and
imported clips show the file extension.

Now the question. There are some way to Avid keep the file extension when
transcoding the clips?

Sincerely,
