No you were clear, looks like I skipped over that part of the message :/
Try using the relink function and select the "selected items in all open
bins." When doing this you have to highlight all of the AMA clips that you
want to relink to (leave them in their separate bin from your sequence),
then right click on your sequence and select relink.
