Hmm.
few points then:
For the final mix, it is NOT about peaks. They do very little to the overall
value.
So if you want a loud gunshot, it's fine.
The overall perceptive loudness needs to be conform specs, so you can use a
very dynamic mix if you like.
Hence i like to mix as normal, then adust the entire mix.
funny enough, if i mix like i normally do, (do not compress, spoken text up
to -9 on peak meters, music to liking but not exceed -9), it is almost
always just good..

But to get it fast and easy done, i still prefer the R128gain, as it is
worry free :-)
