Re: [Avid-L2] EBU R128 as plugin?

Sorry, yes. I use only the standalone. Like I said, I'm don't know
anything about the plug-in.

I use it for onlining TV ads - my audio is generally a single stereo
wav or aiff. So obviously it's pretty simple for me to tweak the
overall level of the mixes. The PPMulator batch may not be so useful
for long form mixes where you need to know *where* the peaks are,
though it will give you a rough idea if you watch the meters as it
scans, since it does show levels it goes, along with the percentage
completed
Really, I think the batch is just for a final safety/sanity-check
before delivery.

As to how much to change the whole mix by, I use it with FCP and I use
the mixer (same as I'd do it if I was on an Avid), but how much to
change by depends on what kind of metering I have to do (PPM,
True-Peak, R128) for the delivery. Sometimes it's just trial and error
till I get it to where I want it. Which is no big deal for a 30" ad.
Not so much fun with long-form, obviously.

D.
