DJ audio muted on SRW5500 with avid control?
I'm working with a SRW-5500 rental that I've used before. I restored factory default and set it up as usual. After a layoff to HDCam on playback I noticed when I playback the tape in slo mo through Avid control (both "K" & "L" held down or "K" & "J") I don't here the jogging audio. I thought I usually hear the audio in variable playback slow mo. I do with digibeta. I checked the menu 809 and DJ is on. According to Sony Engineering they say Avid is muting the audio. That's not how I remember it usually working. If I go to the machine front panel and play variable slo mo I hear the jogging audio. I'm monitoring through my JVC monitor's embedded audio feed to my mixer through the monitors analogue audio out. Can anyone confirm if they here slomo audio from an SRW 5500 when controling it from Avid's Digital Cut Tool? This doesn't seem normal to me.
