Audio would be SD2. Not sure if current Macs can still open that. But I'm fairly certain that I once managed to bring SD2 OMF media into a 2005 Mac MC Adrenaline (v1 or 2 or so). Could you try to find such a system, then transcode to AIF or WAV?
If you do this outside Avid, all relevant metadata is gone of course.
