As an owner of both, since as long as Symphony's been around, I can tell you that Symphony can do everything that MC can do. There are no processes in Symphony that are easier in MC. Symphony is the better box for sure in all aspects.
You will NOT be able to tell whether you are using MC or Symphony AT ALL unless you are in the color correction mode or doing a layoff using Universal Mastering. In EVERY other function, the two are 100% identical in features and operation.
