[Avid-L2] Using QT Ref out of Avid to QT Change to Toast Workflow

Using QT Ref out of Avid to QT Change to Toast Workflow:
Following up on my post about trying to use Sorenson 6 to add a time code burn in to send to Toast to make a video ts folder for upload.  I'm running a test overnight but if the preview image in toast is any indication this is all working amazingly well.  Because Sorenson doesn't actually read the source time code, at least that's what I've found in my tests but would love to learn different, I opted to use QT Change which creates a time code burn in text track in QT in a few seconds.  So the process I'm using is taking a sequence with a safe color limit with all text above the safe color limit.  The sequence has the safe color limit already rendered which bakes in the symphony color correction.  Now the QT ref export only takes about a minute or so depending on how many text graphics have to be rendered.  Then QT change adds the TC burn in about 10 seconds.  Now on a separate computer logging into my edit computer I can mount the internal raid
drive on the edit computer and open the QT ref with the added TC burn in.  Dragging this ref movie into Toast on the logged in computer I see the video with burn in in the preview window.  This seems to be working and I'm leaving it toasting to see if both audio and video come accross.   The toast compression is going along at a normal rate but I have avoided what would take about 30 minutes to export the QT ref with time code burn in from Avid and then a 40 to 50 minute export out of QT Pro to make a self contained QT for Toast.  If this Ref movie works this is a huge time saver and while this is going on I'm rendering a different show on the edit computer.  Whooo Hoooooo!!!! I'll find out tomorrow if the Toast dvd is successful.  Sure hope it is
