Re: [Avid-L2] Dump Nitris DX in favour of Decklink?

Yeah, no universal mastering required.

I have just put a DeckLink Studio in one a suite I'm building up for
another production. It apparently has a fulltime always-on SD
downconversion running. The other card I have available is the very basic
DeckLink SDI which is switchable SD/HD (can do realtime downconversion on
the SDI output, but no concurrent HD output).

I haven't actually tested either card with Symphony - yet.

As for the other universal mastering features - I am indeed in PAL-topia,
all 25fps all the time :)

In fact my specific needs are even more narrow than that - I work on one
show only. All acquired directly to DNxHD. We churn out 250 30-minute
episodes a year. I never have to worry about dealing with NTSC material (in
or out)...
