I don't have that deck, but I do have the older PDW-F70, and I've done this in the past with that deck. In the setup menus, there's a section where you set the system of the deck. On the F70 deck you can select 23.98. I don't know if they have that on the deck you have, but I'd look around the menus for something called "System" and see if there's something there that matches the format of the media.
Then just make sure the deck in in iLink" mode.
