Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Upgrading to Symphony?

Hey Marianna,

I would like to see two MC to Symphony upgrade tiers. The current one for
those who have Nitris hardware and can take advantage of universal
mastering and a second at a lower price point that does not include the
universal mastering. Without the Nitris hardware we are only getting the
benefit of more advanced colour correction on Symphony over MC. I don't
want to diminish the value of Symphony colour correction by any means, but
that is all you are going to get for your $3500 upgrade without a Nitris
box. As a Matrox MXO2 mini user, I'm not jumping at $3500, but I would
consider $2000 to get the colour correction upgrade, which would allow me
to do some colour grade work from home, where I am never going to do
mastering.
