Re: [Avid-L2] error: AMA, QT/HDV, and Media Composer

Back from some time off and have an update.

I borrowed their deck to do some testing. It's a Sony HVR-M10U. I hooked it up to a couple of different systems and used QTpro to do some capturing over firewire in native codec. Some of the shorter files worked ok, but as the files got longer, 3min plus, the error rate went up very quickly. I don't know what the problem is but I moved on. I ran everything through Compressor to the same codec, HDV 1080i60, and they worked fine. To save time I had 5 systems working away on the files.

Anyway, no real voila info. But it would be nice to know what that wasn't working.

Thank you,
Jay
