I've got to say, I'm impressed with Mac support.
I've got a nearly three year old MacBookPro that has been exhibiting chronic
issues with the screen flashing briefly to black. They've tried everything.
Software fixes, firmware fixes, replace the monitor, replace the logic
board. I've had it in a half dozen times in three years.
The last time I brought it in, they'd had enough. They're going to give me a
brand new MacBookPro! Sweet! Whoever on these lists told me to buy the
AppleCare on a laptop... THANK YOU!
Anyway, I have Avid MC6 (dongled), the entire FCS3 suite, the entire Adobe
Production bundle and other stuff loaded up on this baby... including lots
of plugins for FCP and Avid and AE.
Can anybody think of a list of things off the top of their head that I need
to deactivate on this machine before I send it back and have to reinstall
everything on a new machine? I want to do my iTunes stuff, obviously, but do
I have to de-authorize the Adobe software, for example? What do I want to
make sure I do other than making sure all of my files are backed up? What
kind of stuff CAN'T you simply reinstall on a new machine?
