Have DnxHD 220x quicktimes as captured by a Pix240 at 1080p23.98.
Performance is sluggish through AMA on a maxed out z800 based Symphony Nitris DX.
Thinking I would gain some performance and probably have a smoother workflow if I could re-wrap these as MXF files and drop them into a traditional Avid Media Files Folder.
What would be the best or proper workflow to do so?
Is there an application anyone really likes to streamline the process?
Once they are in the Media Files folder should I be able to drag from the media tool to a bin and create master clips?
Am I correct in assuming that if I elect to AMA the QT files and then transcode to DNXHD at the bin level it would actually re-compress the files and not just rewrap? Think that would require a level of intelligence/detection not in Symphony/Composer.
Think I remember doing something similar many moons ago.
