We use this workflow with our avids for over 2 years with good results.
There are 2 things worth mentioning:
-in order to keep Color Management active on DreamColor, either true progressive needs to be fed over HDMI or, just use an inexpensive HDMI to DVI adapter and feed it through one of its DVI ports
-there is some vertical jitter, that could be annoying especially when parked and especially when the picture contains high contrast horizontal edges(like keycode for instance)

Interesting:
"the DreamColor Engine is very demanding: it absolutely requires a true progressive digital RGB signal over HDMI or DisplayPort. Interlaced video, PsF, and/or digital YUV over HDMI are not welcomed by the Engine."
