I'm no lawyer; but, my amateur presumptions are that the developer of
QuickTime Alternative (FREE!) is not collecting licensing fees for MPEG LA,
and that Apple are ($20.)
So, if you want to keep using MPEG Streamclip, see if purchasing the Apple
MPEG-2 Decoder will satisfy your compliance department.
