Tony,

You should have your admin put the media space in "Maintenance Mode" - that
way you can make changes to media/databases/etc.. This mode is dangerous,
but as long as you know what you're doing (which it sounds like) as an
EditShare server admin myself I wouldn't have an issue.

BTW, I keep projects in the Avid Project Spaces on the server - makes for
easier permissions issues.
