Boys and Girls,
I've got a project that's been shot on an XF305 and a 5d2. Running on my
MC5.0.3 on a W7/64 laptop system that does not have any issues editing
normal images at SD or HD,
It's all going in via AMA and the XF305 stuff works a treat, and in the
past XDCam has been fine. But the (video) material from the 5d2 stutters
from time to time, audio runs fine even when stuttering. It's coming off
usb3 drives so I'm not thinking speed off the disc is a problem (plus a
XF305 50mbs media is playing fine). I can also play the .mov in VLC
player without stuttering.
I can't find an updated, or indeed specific, plug in for 5D2 media on
the Avid or Canon site. It stutters in either the source and record
windows but it is only the 5d2 bits.
The tech info from the bins is as follows:
5D
25fps, 48k , h.264, lpcm 16, mov, hd 1080p/25, yrb 601, 16:9, pix asp 1,
reformat keep centre
XF305 (where different for above)
canon xf mp2 422 50mbs, pcm mxf 16, yrb 709, stretch
The project is 1080p/25 @ yrb709, and I've adjusted these to all the
other options and the problem remains. Also the video quality menu only
adjust the quality of the stuttering - not the amount!
It's not, looking back at the L2 archives, recommended to AMA one thing
and import another. And since I'm doing some of the editing and checking
on site in front of the client it would be nice to be able to just run
the whole thing via AMA.
Is there something I need to update (not looking to get new MC soft,
just a plug in perhaps)
