Folks are different in this respect. I tend to hit the keys very hard, and the aluminum keyboard does weird things, like toggle the function I just hit so that nothing happens. I make more mistakes on it typing too - it's almost TOO responsive. But the biggest problem I have is that they shrank and squished the function key row. I'm all over the function key row constantly, whether in FCP or Avid, and the fact that keys are half sized and crammed together means that I have to slow down and aim to find any given key. And to me, slowing down is a form of death. It just can't happen.
I guess for me the ideal keyboard would split the difference. It would be halfway between the aluminum and the old keyboards in responsiveness of action, but I would have my good old function key row back the way it was.

Really? The old plastic mac keyboards seem so big and clunky now I'm used to
the aluminium versions. Far more comfortable - I'd never go back.
