This discussion has progressed beyond the anecdote that came to mind
when I saw the subject line, but what the heck:
The story goes that The Byrds originally recorded "Eight Miles High"
at a recording studio not owned by their label, Columbia Records. So
Columbia refused to release the song until the band re-recorded it at
Columbia Studios.
Perhaps we should hope the iPhone 5's video performance isn't too
good...
