We shoot on VariCams rigged with Pro35 adapters all the time. Gets you to P2 or DVCPROHD tape depending on the unit we shoot with.
With a set of Ultraprimes, you will get some very lush stuff and great control of depth of field.
Yeah still technically 2/3rds but with 35mm glass.
Pretty good look.
Looking forward to ditching that adapter for a native 35mm sensor sometime soon.
