Except they need to release a version of PT that actually supports it first. Current PT will ditch the RTAS plugs and import stereo as dual mono.
And return from PT will still be impossible unless they make MC sample-based, so any "round-tripping" is out of the question.
But it's a major upgrade to MC, it will be interesting to see how well these new audio features go down with the editing community.
