Secondly... Why so angry? This the first time avid's ever supported
3rd party hardware- it's a huge can of worms. This seems like they
are 'getting their feet wet' by offering this monitoring-only
solution. It's not an I/o solution, it's a monitor connector.
If you like, capture in fcp and edit in avid via AMA. Will you be
able to output from fcp using a refernce movie? Probably not, but who
knows.
