[Avid-L2] Stereoscopic Monitors

I'm getting ready to start our first 3D job, and I'm looking at 3D monitors. Do you have any recommendations? Anything I should try to avoid? From what I've read, one of the DVI outputs from the computer goes straight to the monitor - is that right? Will I need a DVI to HDMI cable? Any other "gotchas" I should be aware of?
