Stations take many different formats - tape and nontape. You need to get the requirement for each broadcaster.

Subject: [Avid-L2] TVC in the USA from a PAL country HElp required
Here in Australia we are PAL and a client here wishes to run a TV commercial in NTSC in the USA (Florida I think) This is 16x9 SD format. The ad is all animation and usually the animator gives it to me as an uncompressed QuickTime, which I bring into Symphony, add supers and adjust timing to suit the VO and add the standard end frames and master to digibeta.
Here we have an approval process in that we send a copy of the finished ad as an MP4 to an organization that clears it for broadcast and issues an approval number without which the TV stations won't run it.
My questions are. never having worked in NTSC as an online project are there any hints and traps I need to be aware of?
Is there a similar approval process in the USA
What format do stations accept TVC's in?
And would any one in the Florida area be willing to accept a NTSC QuickTime and output it for delivery to the TV stations?
If so please advise what the costs would be. early next week is when I will be actually doing the job.
