Re: [Avid-L2] No media drives available?

Unless it has changed recently, the file-count is 5,000 per folder. When
MXF was first supported it was 10,000, but performance issues forced Avid to
drop the number. That was around v2.5. I have petitioned Avid to drop the
count further to as low as 2,500. Somewhere over that number can cause
false ³Quarantine² errors, mostly on 32-bit systems. It¹s really just
running out of memory before it can complete the scan & index.

When file count in the folder reaches somewhere around 3.5k. For older Avids
(pre MC v2.5) I think it was around 5k.
