Toshiba's new CELL 3D sets will supposedly convert 2D into 3D

For the record, I already wear glasses. I hate wearing the 3D glasses over them. Who will be first with 3D prescription glasses?

So the old chestnut, "It's all done with mirrors" was true!

WHOI (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute) invited me down to Cape Cod
to check out some of their video technology and they had a special 3D
monitor that didn't require glasses. They had some very cool footage
of the Titanic shot in high definition 3D. I don't think the monitor
would be practical for consumer use, but it looked amazing and - as I
said - you didn't need glasses to view it in 3D. I believe it used
mirrors and two separate HD monitors.
