It's a good idea. However, you can download the newest version of the
Donglemanager and latest Versioner from the Avid download center. In
this case the full MC install is not needed.

These work for most dongles, but if you have a pre Xpress Pro or other
various Rainbow Duo Dongles (or a parallel) you may not be able to see
them at all. These may require swaps.

Be careful with the many licensing options presented by the new splash
screen. Most of them will activate software-only authorization and but
your dongle to sleep forever.

They make it way too easy now, to take the blue pill,..
