Wow, you have an incredibly low opinion of the value you add if you
think it's in any way related to software.

If you can't compete against free, you can't compete. Period.

There is no such thing as unhackable software or uncopiable media.
That's a given. Given that, how do we build a business on what isn't
(effectively) free - ie the digital goods.

BTW, I research this topic about 2 hours a day. Every day. It's
vitally important to the future of the production industry because you
can't stop unauthorized copying and attempts only hurt those you
actually sell to!

The traditional content industries are determined to kill themselves
out of stupidity and a lack of ability to adapt to changing
circumstances. I think dinosaurs. :)
