can dig in your picture, copy the clapper TC to the sound TC column,
import the sound and autosync using this TC.
Tedious but it works.

Just got in some tapes from a shoot, HDcamSR 23.976 frame rate. 20 1
hour tapes.
Sound recordist put audible 29.98 tc on channel two of the HDcamSR and
fed that same timecode to the slate, and recorded BWAV files. He
didn't bother to send any of his audio (other than the TC) to the
HDcamSR deck. There are hundreds of start/stops on these tapes.
Is there any way to automate the audio sync process? If I could
digitize both timecodes into the AVID with the video, I could import
the audio files and use autosync.
If I could generate a flex file or ALE for the video to show the
relationship between the 23.98 and the 29.97 timecode, I could get to
autosync that way.
At pesent, my best idea is to import the BWAV files, then layback each
piece to the HDcamSR masters based on the visible timecode in the
slate window. Tedious at best.
I realize I could also do this in the AVID, once I have digitized
everything, but these tapes are for a promo shoot that is going to be
used by several different vendors, and I would like to solve this
once, so all future users don't have to hassle with syncing the audio
every time they use this footage.
Any ideas out there?
