I agree, DS has had a software only version for at least 3yrs, and i
know, that was one of the main motivators behind AutoCrete building
SMoke Soft, difference is, no one besides a few DS editors actually
know/use DS Soft. Let alone the fact you can't buy it anymore, as
Avid's infinite wisdom told them to hide it away.. keep it safe, keep
it secret.
And of course, when Avid does decide to make it available as a stand
alone product, (if they ever do) it will now be viewed as a response
to Smoke Soft, rather than leading the way, like they could have. they
could have been 3yrs ahead of Autocrete.. how's that for fumbling..?
