LOL! Got to give you credit for persistence! Let's see... How many RR cards will be sold? Maybe 1,000. Not much of a market to drive R&D development of this magnitude. It will only happen if RED is up to the task of writing some serious code. I just don't see that in the cards. After all, you can't even get usable SDI out of the RR cards yet, can you? I think Terry's comparison to Avid with an ICE card is an appropriate analogy.

The whole trend of software-based systems running on general purpose computers is to get away from writing code to work with proprietary hardware. Integrating an NLE with an RR card is a step backwards from the POV of NLE development, unless it's justified by a huge market increase.
