[Avid-L2] Avid + Drifting Audio

I'm editing a project in Avid Xpress Pro on a Mac using OS . The
project video is a little longer than I'm used to dealing with at
about an hour and twenty minutes long.

I'm noticing a little drift in the audio and was told it was because
I digitized through firewire and should have digitized it in smaller
sections. I was also told there was some sort of formula to correct
it like " -2 frames of audio for every 10 minutes of video" or
something to that affect.

Is there a formula to correct this or do I just need to eyeball the
audio into sync.
