I noticed on the 2026 Grammy Opening there was one center camera that was in black and white. It sure looked to me like the switcher input had been set to zero saturation on the cross point for the camera. I haven't been on a switcher in decades but I recall the GVG 3000 and 4000 had proc amp controls that could be set for an ME or even a cross point IIRC.
I did a AI Google which said it was an artistic choice but it didn't play like that to me. Having lived through John Carson landing upside down at the Oscar Open approx. 1981 I always love to find out what happened.
