I tried to email you directly, but it bounced back ☹

 

I touched base with our hardware engineer last week on this topic and the stability issues are with all 3 -  BMD, AJA and Avid - at this time.   

 

Possible work arounds:

• Set BMD desktop video setup – Default video standard to match the project.  Might help – not sure
• Use different HDMI monitor. Some are faster than others when sync lock goes away.
• Use SDI Monitor until this is fixed
• Use SDI to HDMI converter  and connect SDI to BMD device (instead of HDMI).  Not sure if this helps or not.
• Use Intel based Macs with older BMD driver that does not have this problem.

The issue you seem to be having might be a combination of a BMD device and the HDMI monitor you are using.
